Why Extreme Diets Never Work

By Joseph Stan

Our bodies is unable to burn more than five hundred grams of fat per week, this means that trying to dispose of more fat than that is close to impossible no matter what type of diet you are doing. Whether you are on a extreme diet or a balance diet the body will burn the same percentage of fats. Strong diets or extreme diets are not recommended and might be dangerous for the body because these diets make your body dispose of important body nutrients to stay healthy.

The loss of muscle mass reflected a big drop in weight on the scale which keep getting encouraged to continue the diet for several months, but the consequences of this loss will mean that our problem with being overweight to worsen alarmingly at the end of the diet . If we consider that the muscle is living tissue and therefore is able to burn calories, we can say that at the end of such a diet your metabolism will have slowed, so that from this moment, our body will burn less calories and have a greater tendency to gain weight at the beginning of the diet.

Restrictive diets are the ones that reduce our muscle mass and therefore the highest rebound, but the loss of muscle will also produce a feeling of tiredness and apathy that eventually significantly affect our state. Nutrients from these diets will result in deficiency diseases and osteoporosis among others. Substitute diets fail to re-educate the patient from the viewpoint of food. Diets in which fresh food scarcity produces tremendous anxiety which drives us to eat without control being provided an example of long-term failure.

Extreme diets sometimes contain high protein substitutes that result in fast but dangerous weight loss. The excess of protein is excreted in the urine which will lead to affect the kidneys. If the body is lacking carbohydrates it must work extra hard to nourish important organs, organs as the brain which needs nutrients like glucose in order to perform like it should.

Many people will say that diets alone won't work, although these is somewhat true, diets are very effective when they are done properly. Quick diets usually don't work because in time you will regain your weigh when you stop doing the diet. Diets are not at all useless, a good moderate diet will help you reduce the amount of calories you eat and help you lose weight in a healthy safe way.
