Ideas On How To Protect Your Teenage Daughter

By Choran B Broks

Every summer, my child works in a neighborhood restaurant where her work schedule finishes at 10:00 pm. Our house is just twenty meters away from the bus stop. But, the distance between the cafe and the bus stop nearest to it is a solid two blocks.

Despite the fact that she is normally along with two workmates on her way home, I still can't help but feel a little scared of what might happen. So, to be able to keep my child protected from likely assaults, I looked on the net for products which could possibly provide personal protection for ladies and teens.

While I wished to teach my own child the value of money by encouraging her to work hard, her own security is still my major concern.

I learned about personal alarms from a colleague at work who had one. She had always been telling me to have one each for myself and for my two teenage daughters. Not wanting to seem paranoid, I didn't give thought to her urgings right up until I heard about a lady that was found raped and left for dead in an empty parking lot.

Worrying for my daughter's security, I ultimately ordered a personal alarm with flashlight for her. This can fit easily in a small purse or even in the pocket of a coat. It has a wrist strap which is attached to a pin. This particular pin, whenever taken away, sets off a 130-decibel alarm.

This personal safety alarm also possesses a flashlight, that is extremely convenient each time you're crossing parking lots or going into somewhere dark. You can even flash the light if you are under attack in order that you can draw in the interest of passersby instantly.

The moment the alarming unit was shipped to our home, I gave it to my daughter and then oriented her on precisely how and when to use it.

In addition, I called up the mothers of her fellow waitresses at work and encouraged them to purchase the same personal security alarms which would provide personal protection for women and teens like ours.
